This worksheet has students converting standard quadratic form equations to vertex form. It involves situations where the "a" is 1 and when the "a" is not 1. I put a certain amount for scoring but feel free to change it.
This worksheet has students graphing quadratics from vertex from and has them finding/identifying certain characteristics of the equation. There is no answer sheet purposefully so students cannot search for it online. If you need one e-mail me and I will send you one.
This is the first practice worksheet out of 4 for practicing expanding and contracting the rules of logs. This particular assignment has student practicing the first two rules (adding and subtracting logarithms). I do not provide an answer sheet purposefully. If you need one feel free to e-mail me and I will send you one. Just please do not post it anywhere.
This is a pbl that covers ratios, proportions, area, real-world calculations, and 21st century skills. This PBL has students going through every aspect (that I know of) of remodeling apartments in an apartment complex. It is a nice beginnner/medium PBL if you and/or your students are a little new to pbl’s
This worksheet allows your students to find characteristics of linear equations in various forms. Great worksheet for students who need practice identifying linear equation characteristics.
This activity gives students a chance to use math in a real world way! Students will explore calculating income and car payments for various credit ratings. Students will see how critical math (and credit) can be in the real world.
Students will graph and identify critical points of quadratic equations in standard form. There is no answer sheet so it cannot 'googled.' If you would like one let me know and I will send you one but please do not post it anywhere.
This is the first worksheet in a series that is about the Zero G flight program. It goes very well with Quadratics. I am having students complete these along side completing a PBL that I will upload soon. You can have the students find the equation by regression or algebraically or graphically. Maybe even all ways and have them compare the equations. Which ever way you see fit or you can even let them choose.
We are solving, graphing, finding intercepts, and applying linear equations to the real world through a couple of word problems. I did not give an answer key purposefully but if you need/want one e-mail me and I will send you one, just please do not post it.
This worksheet has students formulating linear equations from multiple representations (from a table, standard form, and word problems). You can even have students do a little more by having students solve for certain situations, have them find the domain and range, and/or have them put scenarios to the equations. I did not include an answer sheet purposefully. If you would like one feel free to e-mail me and I will send you one. Just make sure you do not upload it so it stays out of google
This worksheet allows students to practice simple factoring and factoring by grouping. There are also a few open ended questions at the end. I purposefully did not include an answer sheet. If you need one just e-mail me and I will send you one. jf1253@gmail.com
This is a "simple" straight forward completing finding solutions from vertex form. Good for introducing finding solutions of quedratics. Good for a refresher.
This assignment has notes and an assignment over exponents. This is just a quick introduction. There will be more in depth lessons on it very soon. This is something good for a long-term sub or for when a Teacher is out for the day.
