Grammar and sentence structure are often overlooked in contemporary language arts curriculum. When I first started teaching these subjects as part of a senior English class, I had trouble locating quality PowerPoints. I decided it would be best to create a resource. This product was created through close collaboration with Marisol Cruz, the reading teacher at my high school. She created much of the content, and I tried to animate and color code where possible. This PowerPoint is user-friend

Experience
I am a fourth year Math/Language Arts teacher. I started my career at a school which lacked funding for textbooks. Since then, I have dedicated myself to creating a digital curriculum to replace the text. The process of creation has proved to be one of my main strengths as an educator. I enjoy teaching and look forward to each new day in the classroom.
Teaching style
I constantly promote a high energy classroom with full participation. PowerPoints and students interacting with technology are an everyday occurrence in my class. Humor and one-on-one learning are tools I utilize to make an otherwise intimidating discipline accessible.
Awards & shining teacher moments
The honor is in working with the young people of today. With 110 students at all performance levels, I had a 91% pass rate on the Geometry EOC, compared to the Florida state average of 63%.
My own education history
I have a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy and received a professional certificate through a teacher training program.
Additional biographical information
I very much enjoy cooking, fishing, kayaking, biking, and just general exploration.
