Over the past 28 years my philosophy of working with my special education students has shifted ever so slightly. Within the past several years I have learned something amazing; the less said, the better. My team of teachers and para-educators has worked very hard to follow a strict routine of "show more and say less". Experience

Teaching style
Remain a positive member of each child's team. Coach them and cheer them on every step of the way.
Awards & shining teacher moments
Serving as department chairperson and on multiple leadership committees, has provided me opportunities to work along side some very amazing professionals. Being elected Teacher of the Quarter in 2010 and Teacher of the Year in 2012 are honors that continue to motivate me.
My own education history
I earned a Bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University Kingsville in 1995. I posses Texas educator certifications for Interdisciplinary Studies (grades 1-8), Special Education (all levels) and English as a Second Language.

I have been very happily married for 24 years and we have been blessed with five amazing children.
