This Character Traits Worksheet was created for a 3rd grade classroom, but could be used for a number of grades and may be edited to include more or less detail. There are spaces for students to differentiate between physical and personality traits and to describe one of each type of trait that is important to the story. There is also an outline of a person for the student to draw the character.

To go with my nautical classroom theme, I've created letters for the Word Wall with authentic nautical flags as the background. Each letter corresponds to the flag that symbolizes it!

I foolishly chose a nautical theme for my classroom BEFORE seeing what types of products were available! So I made my own nameplates featuring my color scheme and some sea creatures. The nameplates also include the alphabet and numbers up to 20. The Photoshop file is included if you have the program and would like to make adjustments. I use the circles on the right side to give students assigned numbers (for their coat hooks, etc.) and the colors give ready-made groups!
