Teaching style

22 years as a Special Educator: Multi-categorical Disabilities. My teaching style would be described as very individualized, a tendency to cater to the weaknesses of a student, and yet provide opportunities for strengths. A passion for the person. A passion for the child.

My own education history

I worked as a Substitute Teacher for three years before obtaining my Masters Degree in Multi-categorical Disabilities from West Virginia University in 2005. I have a degree from Keuka College, 1978 in a student initiated major, Theatre Production/Acting. I used this degree by teaching Creative Dramatics in the elementary schools local to me, and by participating in regional theatrical productions through acting and stage management. I have written, produced and directed local productions near my hometown.
