This package includes the warm up, the guided notes, the practice and the homework that I use when teaching 6th grade students about the opposite of a number on day 1. These items are all aligned to the common core state standards. The notes are cornel style to provide a margin for thoughts and questions. The homework is a mix of material taught this day and material students should have seen prior to this day.
