Here is a project for poetry with a rubric. For the project, students create their own book of poetry using ten types of poems. Check out my other products for poetry instruction materials. In the PPT, directions, exemplars, and rubrics are given. You may also print the first and last slide as handouts (directions and rubric) for students.

It is so important for teachers to end lessons with closings, or summarizing strategies, in order to sum up the lesson and leave students with a full understanding of the material. I have created and compiled 21 different lesson closings to use with any subject and most grades. This is an editable PPT, so feel free to make it your own, once you download!

This is a great lesson for characterization and the aspects that must be addressed when characterizing a specific character. At the end of the presentation, students will complete a "body bio", a way of working together in order to analyze various character traits with an actual character.
