This activity is a checklist for children to use as a family homework assignment with their caregivers. During my "Community Helpers" unit, I given the kids the assignment to walk around their neighborhood (bike ride, car ride, etc.) and find the various people, places and things on the checklist. Here is a list of fall vocabulary words complete with pictures. I use these words in the writing center. Children can use the words as a guide to make their own fall-themed books. You might also photocopy and cut apart the words for students to trace the letters. Students could also use letter stamps to reprint the words. Have fun!

Birthday Book-It! Labels

To celebrate children's birthdays I ask that parents avoid sugary treats, and instead, donate a book to our classroom library. I use these labels to write the child's name and birthday inside the book that they donate! You can print out these on label stickers or on regular paper. The kids love finding their birthday books!
