About the store

Experience

I have taught professionally for my entire teaching career up to this point in a self-contained Autism Spectrum Disorder setting. I have professionally taught students PreK-2 up to this point. I have experience in both general education and various ESE settings, but have found my home in ASD.

Teaching style

When I am lesson planning, my goal is always to balance what I know my students truly need based on their IEP goals, as well as following the calendar required by the state standards. My instruction is standards-based, but tailored to meet my students' needs.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I was nominated for ESE Teacher of the Year for my school district in the 2023-2024 school year. I have received recognition for outstanding mentorship and contribution to my school and district communities.

My own education history

I graduated from the University of South Florida - St. Petersburg with my Bachelor of Science in Education. I am certified in all subject areas K-6, ESE K-12, and Birth-4, and am endorsed in Reading, ESOL, and ASD.
