I am a 5th year special education teacher in New Jersey. I have a Master's degree in Reading Education, and attained my BA in Elementary Education. I am highly qualified to teach math and science at the middle school level. I currently hold a role as the mathematics resource center teacher for students between grades 5-8. I also serve as a 6th grade inclusion teacher for science and social studies.

Teaching style
As a special education teacher, I believe in blending direct, explicit instruction, with fun, hands-on project-based learning experiences. I strive to be a positive role model and calming presence for my students. I believe in order for my students to learn, I must truly know and understand them. I must also address social and emotional distress to truly reach my exceptional learners. Learning should be holistic, realistic, and FUN!

Additional biographical information
When I'm not teaching, you will find me setting up events around the school! I am one of the Student Council advisers for my middle school. When I'm not in school, I'm at home snuggling with my puppy, or trying exotic recipes with my significant other!
