I pride myself on creating fun and engaging resources not only for my Teachers Pay Teachers store, but to use in my own classroom, as well!
Teaching style
At the heart, my teaching philosophy is that the classroom should be a safe place for students where they feel comfortable taking risks, asking questions, and where they can be themselves.
It's not just about teaching and learning. Of course, that's the ultimate goal. However, school should be fun for students. School should be a place where children want to be!
I also believe that an effective teacher fosters a personal relationship with each and every one of his or her students.

*2020 Teacher of the Year for my school district
*Under the pseudonym Joseph Anthony, I have self-published five books of poetry, short fiction stories, and a novel.
*I have had three short stories, and almost two-dozen poems selected for publication by various literary magazines, and was fortunate to win the Yellow Chair Review's "Rock the Chair" challenge in April of 2016.
*I am currently writing a book on teaching!
