Teaching style

I believe the best way to truly understand math is by rolling up your sleeves and diving right in! This hands-on approach encourages students to practice actively, try new strategies, and learn from mistakes without fear. Because sometimes, the best lessons come from not getting it right the first time. Here, failure isn’t the end—it’s just a stepping stone to success! Get ready to build confidence, sharpen skills, and have fun along the way!

My own education history

I graduated high school in 2012 and earned my degree from Aquinas College in 2016, where I also enjoyed playing college softball! After college, I spent a year as a substitute teacher, then worked as a math interventionist for elementary students. Just this past year, I completed my Master’s in TESOL at Western Michigan University, which not only boosts my math materials but also helps me create resources that support students who speak English as a second language. Every step of my journey has shaped me into the teacher I am today—passionate about making math accessible and fun for everyone!
