This is a simple project I assigned to students who passed Everyday Math Unit 5 as a pre-test. The project allows for student voice and choice, while they use decomposing and the addition of fractions to create a meal plan for a weekend getaway.

A great project for students to work on individually or in small groups. They will use their knowledge of measurement conversions, multiplication, division, decimals and graphing to determine if they think global warming is actually happening.
I personally assign this project to high students who pre-test out of the math unit that includes these standards.
