I've taught for 16 years in both high school and middle school settings - currently I'm a 8th grade Math teacher. I've taught AP Computer Science, Algebra 1, Geometry, and Basic Math skills.
I created this grader to help grade students put grades on papers quickly. I'd put this on the screen, change the number of questions to the the number on the assignment, and the students could quickly put a grade on an assignment by counting the number correct. The other spreadsheet I used to curve tests on a square root basis -- lower grades received more of a curve than higher grades. Enjoy!
I've taken our Quarter system and made a spreadsheet for the year. It has school holidays added which can be changed easily. There is one page that is an example page that shows comments with a sample student and how to use the spreadsheet. This is a simple "average the grades" spreadsheet. Different categories count more (quizzes count 2x while tests count 4x). The semesters are cummulative for our district but can be easily changed :) Enjoy!
I wanted to make my computers have a bit of flair, and I thought of the minions... enjoy!
