Students will classify triangles using the terms: Right, Acute, Obtuse Scalene, Equilateral, Isosceles Two sets of rules.

Students will measure objects using rulers, meter sticks, measuring tape, graduated cylinders, triple balance beams, and scales. This resource is recording pages for this activity. Included are blank templates (you can write in the object they will measure) and a filled in chart with suggested items to measure/weigh.

In our class, we use hand signals to show the teacher what each student is thinking. These signs are made in the center of kid's chests so that others around them can not see. It has been my experience that as soon as a kid raises their hand, everyone else is done and doesn't try anymore. So, with the hand signals, everyone is on an even playing field.
