I love teaching spelling with word families! Over the years I have bought several different weekly word family packets. Some have been great but most not so good! One the problems I tend to have is that the weekly work is just to easy for my 1st graders. Most of the work is geared toward high K to low 1st. I was always making extra work to beef up the units.
