About the store
I taught toddlers for several years before I went into the school system. I taught Kindergarten for 12 GREAT years. 3 years ago I LOOPED with my Kindergarten class to 1st grade so that was a learning year for both my students as well as myself. I am currently teaching 2nd grade in Volusia County Florida! I love teaching at the beach!!!

Experience

Teaching style
I'm pretty laid back (I like to believe)! I try to develop independent learners. I enjoy students that aren't afraid to question and feel comfortable making mistakes. I love cooking with my students and center time.
Awards & shining teacher moments
I was a Girl Scout for 12 years and earned my Silver Award!
I have written and received 5 grants funded from www.DonorsChoose.org as well as 3 classroom grants sponsored by my local Rotarian Club. I have also received a $5,000 Target Teacher Book Grant.
My own education history
I have a bachelors in Early Childhood Education. I am ESOL, Reading and Gifted endorsed. I am currently earning my Masters in Early Childhood Ed.
Additional biographical information
I have 2 kiddos. We are a Scouting family! My 17 year old just earned Eagle Scout and my 13 year old is a Life Scout. love making centers, file folder games, bag games and photography. I can't seem to leave school at school. I also love with thrift stores, Disney and plating card games with my mom.
