Cultural and Historical Origins of Trigonometry

Created by
Kaiser Science
This is meant to be an interesting deep-dive into the origin of trigonometry, showing how it developed from the ancient Hellenic world, to China, India, and in Europe. One of the ideas is that math has been developed for real reasons, not for standardized tests. You can cover whatever parts of this in class you like, from 1 to 3 days. Learning Standards addressed include Common Core Mathematics and ELA; History, and Cultural diversity.
