Love Scrabble? The original game Starble is similar, but it’s a board game. The object of the game is to score the most points by spelling words with the letters you collect as you move along the board. Starble takes two to five players, lasts around 15 minutes, and is suitable for ages 7 and up. Students practice spelling, game strategy, cooperation and fair play (e.g., there is a "steal" component of the game...), and arithmetic (addition and basic multiplication for computing score). Get active and practice your mental arithmetic and basic algebra skills with the original board game Lump Sum! Players race to the finish as they earn points by performing random numbers of random exercises, such as jumping jacks and arm circles. Each gameplay is different, as tiles are placed in random locations on the board. Game is for two to four players and lasts around 30 minutes. Calculating final scores involves some simple algebra (evaluating a subtraction expression at a given value).
