I am starting my 19th year teaching in Fayette County, GA! I have taught kindergarten, first, second, fourth, and fifth grade. I got hired as a teacher when I was 21 years old and have learned so much in that time! As a seasoned teacher, I know that using and choosing quality materials to support instruction makes all the difference! This mini lab is perfect for teaching pitch and frequency. Glue these into your science notebooks! For each small group you will need: 1 large metal binder clip 1 thick rubber band 1 medium rubber band 1 thin rubber band Have the students clip the binder clip on their desk or table. Your students will LOVE making Window Brochures! Tell your kids that they now own a window company selling 3 types of windows. They need to advertise each of the three types. I give my kids a piece of wax paper(translucent), clear plastic(transparent) and brown paper bag(opaque) to create their windows on their brochure. Give the kids their rubric BEFORE beginning their assignment, so they know what is expected of them! There is also a self-check portion on the rubric!
