Experience

I taught 3rd grade for over 9 years before switching to writing curriculum to help teachers easily provide hands-on and experiential learning opportunities that creates a love of learning in all subjects.

Teaching style

As a teacher, I love to create learning experiences for students that create hands-on experiences. I often use centers and stations to help differentiate learning but also allow students to be fully engaged in activities that review, provide extra practice, and extend each learner's knowledge of concepts. I believe that students who are engaged and active in their learning grow more and have a deeper love for learning.

My own education history

I have a Bachelor's Degree from George Mason University in Early Childhood Development Pre-K to 3. I have a Master's Degree in Educational Curriculum Development and Instruction from George Mason University. I have completed the coursework to be a Orton-Gillingham practitioner at the Associate level.
