I currently work with middle school students, supporting their academic, social, and emotional development through individual counseling, small groups, classroom lessons, and crisis intervention. My experience includes helping students navigate anxiety, peer relationships, emotional regulation, self-esteem, grief, behavioral challenges, and life transitions. Teaching style

My approach is compassionate, relatable, and student-centered. I believe students learn and grow best when they feel safe, respected, and connected. I use engaging, age-appropriate activities and real-world examples to make social-emotional learning meaningful for middle school students. I focus on building trust, encouraging self-awareness, and helping students develop practical coping skills they can use both in and outside of school.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Some of my most meaningful moments as a counselor come from seeing students recognize their own growth and resilience. Whether it’s helping a student successfully manage anxiety, rebuild confidence after a difficult experience, or feel comfortable opening up for the first time, those breakthroughs remind me why I love this work. I’m especially passionate about helping students feel seen, supported, and capable of overcoming challenges.

My own education history

I earned my Master’s degree in School Counseling with a specialization in Crisis and Trauma, which strengthened my understanding of student mental health, crisis response, and trauma-informed practices. My education and professional experience continue to shape the way I support students, families, and school communities with empathy, understanding, and evidence-based strategies.

Additional biographical information

My goal is to provide tools and support that help students feel confident, connected, and emotionally equipped to succeed both in school and in life.
