This is a fun project that can be used for a variety of applications across many grade levels. It can be used across the curriculum but more specifically with science and language arts.
Students spend six days brainstorming and drafting.
This package includes teaching and prep instructions for six days.
There are ideas on how to differentiate the project for students in speech therapy.
The pack includes three options for lines and sizes.
It includes a brainstorming page, rough draft, good draft
This portfolio is a great way for students, parents, and teachers to view their student's progress. There is a space for drawing and writing. As the months progress, the number of lines increase and the drawing space decreases. After each monthly page, there is an extra page with additional drawing space and lines if you desire. I use these for self portraits and writing progression. It is really neat to see the progress that students make. They love it!
*All pages have a slight right indent to

This clip chart is a great visual reminder for students to chart their reading goals. Once they have moved on to a new goal, they can move their clip. I use clothes pins for the student clips and binder rings to attach the clip chart. It should be displayed in an area that students can see whenever they are doing Daily 5.

Students are given a task to design a theme park. They are asked to make a blueprint highlighting the perimeter of multiple objects- both regular and irregular shaped. This comes with a recording sheet, checklist for self assessment, and grid paper-- everything your students will need to complete this task.
This is a great system to use in your class and super easy to get started. Students recognize others' positive behaviour and write it on a shout out card. They put it in a jar and at the end of the week we read them. I have a shout out tally going in my class and when everyone is showing expected behaviour I add a tally; a tally can also be taken away. The number of tally marks at the end of the week determines how many shout outs I will choose for prizes.
*I have also heard of people doing this
Please enjoy this little mother's day gift tag that I created for our Mother's Day projects.
There are tags for pre-k to grade 4!
I had the local tree nursery donate seedlings and one of the flower shops in the area donated the small flower pots to plant them in.
These fit perfectly into our science unit "Needs of Plants and Animals."
