This is an oral history project. I use it as a writing piece while reading Bud, Not Buddy but it can be used on its own as well. Students interview a family member or friend and write a biography from what they have learned. Includes 35+ questions and paper outline.

English Language Arts, Informational Text, Writing-Essays
This was designed as an end of the year project for first graders but could be used in second grade as well. The report was done on a president of the students choosing. There are three paragraphs (intro and 2 body paragraphs). Students used the outline to put research material into their own words and organize information.
This is a great alternative to the standard test! Download includes guidelines for the paper, paper topics and elements for each paragraph. Students choose a chapter topic and then organize research on the given outline.
