This is a Google Slides that includes a link to a Screencastify video on on how to create a digital artwork of an animal and its habitat using Google Drawing. My students loved this project! It would work well in Art Class, Digital Art, or even Science! You are able to use the video to share with your students directly OR you can watch it and learn how to create the lesson and then record your own. This PowerPoint introduces your younger students (recommended grades 1-5) to the concept of using Q-tips, glue, and tacky glue to create dinosaur skeletons. This PowerPoint is a lesson for your older art students and introduces them to the Italian artist Guido Daniele. Famous for his body painting, students will be inspired to work in groups to create a "Handimal" on a group member's actual hand. This requires them to consider texture, values in painting, and group collaboration. My 5th grade students did this and were very successful.
