Screencastify Video Project: Google Drawing - Animal & Habitat
This is a Google Slides that includes a link to a Screencastify video on on how to create a digital artwork of an animal and its habitat using Google Drawing. My students loved this project! It would work well in Art Class, Digital Art, or even Science! You are able to use the video to share with your students directly OR you can watch it and learn how to create the lesson and then record your own. Student examples are also included - these were created by 6th grade students.

Metal Repoussé Zentangle Rubric
Assessment in the Art Room is so important but can be so challenging! This rubric allows both student and teacher to assess on a 20 point scale on the Metal Repoussé Zentangle Lesson. POP Art PowerPoint
A PowerPoint Presentation that can be used to introduce Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Wayne Thiebaud, and the concept of POP Art to your younger (grades 1-5) students. Q-Tip Dinosaur Bones Lesson
This PowerPoint introduces your younger students (recommended grades 1-5) to the concept of using Q-tips, glue, and tacky glue to create dinosaur skeletons. There are slides showing examples of dinosaurs - I always found that my students knew so much already! I liked to tell them that for this lesson they would be scientists. This is a great tie in to science and art!

Screencastify Video: Create your own GIF!
This resource is a Google Slide that includes a link to a Screencastify video on how to create your own GIF using the free website Photopea. My students really enjoyed making theirs! Students will learn how to animate an animal's eyes using simple directions. The video can be shared directly with students OR you can use it to teach yourself and then create your own!

Guido Daniele's Handimals Art Lesson
This PowerPoint is a lesson for your older art students and introduces them to the Italian artist Guido Daniele. Famous for his body painting, students will be inspired to work in groups to create a "Handimal" on a group member's actual hand. This requires them to consider texture, values in painting, and group collaboration. My 5th grade students did this and were very successful. We invited the younger students to come view the "zoo" the day of the painting!

This is a basic assessment (2 pages) that can be used for the "littles" in the Art Room! Students will demonstrate their knowledge of the color wheel: primary and secondary colors, and which primary colors can be mixed to create the secondary colors. Color Theory Quiz
This quiz is perfect for Elementary and Middle School Art students! I assess my sixth graders with this in the beginning of the year, mid-year, and at the end to track their growth. Concepts covered are primary colors, secondary colors, complementary colors, and color mixing.
