50% of my daily grade is a Value Score. Value is basically class participation. My students know that they must add value to each rehearsal in order for us to be our best. This poster acts as a quick reminder of what their value score is comprised.

This project guides students through the proper use of and composition with subdivided beats. When I did this project with students this paper was the first step. The second step was to put these rhythms into MuseScore on their MacBooks. Students could also use finale or any other music notation file to do this as an extension of the project.

These beautiful 8.5x11" posters will remind students of the expectations of your music room. Expectations are a great alternative to the traditional "rules" and set a tone of excellence for your classroom. The colors of the posters are designed to work well with any existing décor you already have. They are also great for use in digital classrooms or slide shows to begin your year or as reminders.
