I have 25 years experience teaching art, reading, and writing with students struggling with emotional and behavioral difficulties in the Chicago Public School System. I have also taught math, social studies and science.
The Daily Scoop is the perfect way to start the day and end it too. 2 versions to choose from. In both versions students can record the date, weather, and tally the total days in school. Version 1 has a blank section so you can add anything you like or in version 2 students can draw coins to match the date. End the day by having students complete the news of the day.
These would be cute to compile into a monthly booklet for kids to take home. Great to use during calendar time!

Experience
I have 25 years experience teaching art, reading, and writing with students struggling with emotional and behavioral difficulties in the Chicago Public School System. I have also taught math, social studies and science.
Teaching style
I love to mix it up with lessons that are meaningful, creative, and engaging. Giving the students opportunities to learn from each other is one of my specialties. I strive for a classroom where students collaborate and communicate with each other as well as myself successfully.
I also love to incorporate technology in my instruction.
Awards & shining teacher moments
3 time winner of my school's teacher of the year award. Very humbled by this because they only gave this award 4 times in 25 years.
