This is a math activity that makes practicing expanded form, fun! Students will roll a die to create their number (up to the ten thousands place value). Then, students will write the number in expanded form. Students may work on this independently or with other students. Dice are not included.

Based on the children's game Go Fish, this version has students playing and looking for matches with numbers up to the ten thousands place. Students match numbers using standard, word, and expanded forms of numbers. There are 40 playing cards. Print out the cards on colored cardstock, cut, and laminate for durability. Answer Key is included as well as directions on how to play. This can easily be modified in many ways, including a memory-matching game.
