Parent contact card handed out at the beginning of the new school year. The card includes space for two parent/guardian's information as well as a preferred method of contact and time for contact. On the back is a spot for parents to initial their consent to take pictures and to provide any additional information they deem relevant regarding their child.

Bellringer's focus on current eighth grade standards with mixed reviews of fractions, decimals, integers, and place value added in occasionally. Bellringers spiral through the curriculum, so curriculum from the beginning of the year is brought up again throughout several bellringers to help with review before FSA.

This warm-up bundle consists of 8 weeks of daily warm-ups (40 total warm-ups) for the Number Sense & Operations Domain. Interactive notebook notes- set up as two half-sheets per page to conserve copies. Picture of Dorito man with example of how to use him. This is followed up by writing a few example problems underneath in the notebook to practice with.

Students are given the result of a survey and asked to create a two-way frequency table. Once they have made their two-way frequency table, they must covert it to a relative frequency table by total, by row, and by column. After all tables have been completed, students must answers six questions at the end about the results. This comes with two different versions.

Three pages of interactive notebook glue-ins practicing converting repeating decimals to fractions. Page one is an exploration activity students will do to discover the relationship between repeating decimals and the number 9 as a denominator. The second page describes the process of taking a decimal that repeats eventually and converting it to a fraction. The third page is two practice problems on converting an eventually repeating decimal to a fraction.

One worksheet (front/back) that reviews operating with integers, order of operations, operating with fractions, reducing fractions, turning fractions to decimals, and rounding. I use this as a refresher for the beginning of the year in my Pre-Algebra courses.

This activity is designed to show students how their grade is calculated. This could be updated to reflect your specific category and weights to give them a better idea. This is an interactive notebook booklet explaining how to combine like terms and use distributive property to simplify expressions. The front has vocabulary and the inside has both combining like terms practice and practice with distributive property. This is used as a precursor to solving equations in my 8th grade Pre-Algebra class!

15 question worksheet on writing equations in slope-intercept form using various formats. The first four questions ask students to write the equation given the slope and the y-intercept. The next eight questions give students the y-intercept as an ordered pair, and the slope in the form "m=." The last three questions are completed graphs which students must create the equations for.

Review worksheet and quiz for both 8.NS.1.1 and 8.NS.1.2. The review's are five questions each and the quizzes are four or five questions each. These standards encompass classifying, identifying, ordering, and comparing rational and irrational numbers.

Foldable describing how to solve system of equations by substitution and graphing. Substitution has three practice problems and graphing has two. The substitution practice has two problems that include one standard form equation and one in slope-intercept form, the third example is two equations in standard form. The first graphing example has both equations in slope-intercept form and the second has both in standard form.

This is a tri-fold brochure set up with a small note portion on the front describing what surface area is and how to solve for it. The foldable focuses on the use of the formula to solve; however, I also showed my students how to add the pieces separately to arrive at the same answers.

This algebra tile template is designed to print on card stock in an effort to prolong their use and to cut down on cost. I print the negative pages on red and the positive pages on green for each student to create a class set.
