This assignment is a great follow up to my "Explorer le Monde" French-speaking country culture assignment. Students are planning a trip to a French-speaking country. They must research popular activities in their country or city of choice and create a travel itinerary using "le present". Assignment handouts include graphic organizer, conjugation charts, helpful vocabulary, and a 4 point rubric.

Summative Beginner French Language Assignment: Explorer le Monde! With this project-based French Culture Assignment, your beginning French language learners can learn about a French speaking country while acquiring vocabulary and speaking skills. This assignment is differentiated by providing three levels so students can "choose their challenge". The assignment includes an organizer for research, script (three versions), key vocabulary sheet, and a 4-point rubric.

This activity gives students an opportunity for speaking and listening practice. This is a fun, on-your-feet activity that allows beginning French speakers to ask "Où allez-vous?" and listen and record the answers of their classmates. This activity is best used after students have begun to learn the conjugation for the verb "aller".
