Keen on the Classroom

This a a graph to use when your class celebrates Dr. Seuss. In my class, we read the books Green Eggs and Ham and then sample some ourselves (made by me or a parent volunteer). This sheet is a great way to extend a literacy activity into your math time. There are two versions of this graph: one asks for students to make a decision about which number is greater, the other asks students to write a number sentence about the class findings.

Use this investigation mat for your five senses unit when you investigate 'touch'. I put an object in a box and let students reach inside and feel then draw a picture to guess what they felt. Then I revealed the object and they circled whether they got it right or wrong. With this mat you can repeat the experiment 6 times.
