I love using these in my classroom! The students have the choice of 4 centers a day. I have a day of the week stamp that they use to keep track of what they've completed throughout the month. We discuss center expectations and guidelines as a class at the beginning of the school year, but has been a great way to keep students focused and on task while I am pulling guided reading groups. Staying organized can be so tough when we start getting busy throughout the school year. I like to keep this as a clipboard on my desk for a quick reminder and checkpoint on where my students are within the state standards. I color code the boxes to show each student as accomplished, approaching or not met. This helps me to make sure I address these standards in intervention.
I know, there are so many unknowns this school year and it's stressful! But one thing we do know as educators; Kids need REMINDERS when it comes to their hygiene. These posters are going to be posted at our classroom sink and hand sanitizer station as well as new ways for our students to greet each other in the mornings.
I use this product in a binder that I have laying out on my desk as a quick reference throughout the week to stay organized. The Weekly Planner used as a desktop view and the Standards cut down and used as a divider in between each week.
I have these helpful tips laminated as bookmarks for my students to have in their reading tool kits, as well as laminated and taped to our guided reading table.
With us all trying to transition to distance learning for the rest of this year, I found that these challenges are a fun and creative activity to continue learning and practicing writing strategies at home. I post a challenge on Monday to Google Classroom and the students have the week to complete. I then work with them throughout the week during our office hours and we have a Zoom chat on Friday to allow students to share what they have created. This first set has 4 challenges that I am usin
Every day during our Morning Meeting we have "Today's Character Trait" where I introduce the new character trait to the students and we discuss the definition. My students love to use this memory game as a fun and different way to practice. Students have to flip a card, read it, try to find the match.
