Peanut Butter and Cupcake is a great back to school book that focuses on friendship. This is also a great book to focus on retelling, characters, setting and introducing text to self connections. These activities make for a great writing activity to follow the read aloud and for students to be able to make a connection to the story. When finished, students can share their responses and pictures with their peers to see if there are any similarities and to learn new ways of how to be a friend.

This is a great tool for students to sort open and closed syllables using a pocket chart.

When students need to use the restroom outside of the whole class designated restroom time, they only get 3 in class bathroom visits. While in the classroom, if they decide to use the restroom I will whole punch a toilet. When all 3 have been used the student will need to wait for a whole class restroom break or until the end of the day before dismissal to visit the bathroom. Students will receive a new one everyday.

Print, cut, laminate, and then use velcro dots to place on the 1, 2, 3 Reminder Card and then also on the back of the colored 1, 2, 3 cards. These reminder cards are for students who need to be redirected or for students who shout out.
