Our district recently adopted CKLA. I created this to use for the first lessons of Skills 1. I felt it important to provide handwriting lines as well as a space for rewriting the word correctly. I will add more spaces for words as we move along. There are two to a page. Print and cut to save paper. I put an 'H' and circle it for handwriting that is not adequate. I use this as a basic writing rubric to start off the year to let my students and families know what I am looking for when writing. Edit as you wish :)
Use these to practice standards of writing. I use them in small group to practice handwriting while also incorporating weekly spelling words. Print and cut into half sheets.
