Students can prepare for their 18 week benchmark assessment by competing in this fun relay race. Students will answer review problems to earn drawing different parts of their snowman. Each part of the snowman is a different standard.

These 42 cards are designed to be used with affective language sentence stems to support students communication about their feelings and needs.  They cover both positive and negative situations.  Affective Language is the process by which people express feelings about an event, thoughts, themselves, or others. Sentence Stems to support Affective Language in your classroom. I created this to be used with my Affective Language Situation Cards. The goal of "I messages" is to support student problem solving by using positive language to express feelings and not directly place blame. One of the sentence stems comes from the book A Bug and a Wish by Karen Scheuer.
