Every year over Christmas break I send this packet home with each student for them to use and practice over our holiday break.
I put all this in a ziploc bag and I also send home their pencils and crayons from the past few weeks because we get new supplies in January. Many of my students do not have those supplies at home to use.
The only things not included in this packet are a copy of an alphabet chart (send home the particular one that your school uses) and blank pieces of paper for writin
Use this story map to identify the setting, characters, and the sequence of events for any gingerbread story (Gingerbread Man, Gingerbread Boy, Gingerbread Girl, Gingerbread Friends, etc.).

Use these activities in your literacy centers/stations or in your word work. Students will be using the letters in common Christmas words to create other words.
You can make individual copies for each student to complete independently or they can work with a partner.
However, I use sheet protectors to save on paper. Just slip a copy of each page in a protector and have the students use a dry erase marker to fill out.
