About the store
This is my fifth year teaching students with autism at a separate public day school. My students are profoundly impacted by their autism, but with an environment engineered for structured, systematic learning they succeed. It is amazing to see their progress and wonderful to make connections with the students and their families.
I am so excited to share these beginning learning activities and hope they work as accommodations, maintenance, or the next step in learning.

Halloween Number Correspondence: Count and Clip
This task addresses the "R" column of the ABLLS-R functional curriculum. Students must determine the number of Halloween items on the card and clip the corresponding numbers. This task concentrates on numbers 1-10. 18 slides/tasks total.

Teaching style
My teaching style relies heavily on ABA techniques and task-analysis. With the right interventions and motivations, all children can be engaged learners.

My own education history
I graduated from Radford University with a major in Foreign Languages. After graduating, I spent two years in as a paraprofessional in an autism classroom. I went back to school and I am finishing my degree in Special Education--Adapted Curriculum from the University of Mary Washington.
