This is an in class activity for finding confidence intervals for a population mean (population standard deviation known). In groups, students form a random sample from a normally distributed population and compute confidence intervals. They then compare their confidence intervals to those of other groups. Groups then answer a series of questions that address common misconceptions about confidence intervals and are designed to give students a better conceptual understanding of confidence interva
