This product has two parts. The first assignment is a sequencing activity. Students are to locate the page number in which each story even occurred and write it on the sentence strip. They also need to highlight the sequencing word/phrase for each event. The second assignment is three comprehension questions that the students need to answer using evidence from the text.

The enclosed assignments are for use with the book The Royal Bee. Students will complete assignments related to: asking and answering questions, vocabulary, illustrations, character traits, and author's message. Students are required to use evidence from the text to support their answers.

Students are given character traits that describe both characters and they have to find a sentence in the text that supports each character trait.

This is the perfect set to accompany the Stephanie Harvey Tool Kit (grades 3-5). These papers are for the first book, Monitoring Comprehension. Included for each lesson is an information sheet for the students (explaining the lesson topic) as well as a graphic organizer/recording sheet to be used with the text that goes along with the Tool Kit or a text of your own choosing.
