Four pages have sticks in various places and the 5th is blank for them to use their imagination! Each page states that it is not a stick and they can finish the sentence It's a _______!
Use the book Pete the Cat and his Four Groovy Buttons. Once you've read the book you can use this sheet for students to practice their subtraction from any number you choose. You choose how many buttons students start with and then they can roll a die to see how many buttons they will subtract. I recommend laminating the sheet and using dry erase markers.
Have fun building turkeys while practicing your beginning letter sounds and upper and lowercase matching! Print out each page of the turkey body and matching feathers. Cut out the turkey and feathers. Laminate all pieces. Arrange the feathers for each letter turkey! This can be done in a center, in small groups, or practice as a class!

Practice 1:1 counting using the pumpkin cards or dice with these fun fall themed pumpkin boards. There are boards for numbers 1-5 or 1-10 using the counting cards. For dice there are boards for 1-6 or 1-12. Students can roll balls of doh and smash them onto the numbers they roll or count on dice. Different variations for lots of fall fun! For extra fun, students can cover their numbers with candy pumpkins!
Are you reading the Itsy Bitsy Spider? This craft is fun and easy for students to take the poem home to work on with a grown up! Paint their hands black, keeping the thumb clean and press their hands in opposite directions. Last add some fun eyes!
Help your students develop an understanding of setting using the book and writing companion for Alpert. Students can choose from a variety of sheets with lines to use their imagination to build a setting using the line. Optionally they can cut out Alpert and put him in their setting! Let their imaginations run wild with possible settings that fill their pages!
You students can practice saying, hearing, and writing the beginning sounds of CVC words. Once they write the first sound they can read each word. Print in color, laminate, and use dry erase markers or print in black and white for send home practice.
K - 2nd

Students can roll their dice and count the pips! Match the number of pips to the matching gingerbread man. Students can cover the numbers with mini erasers or counters. Or print out the black and white version and students can color them as they roll them!
Practice counting pips with a thankful turkey! You can play as a Smash game wtih play doh or use magnetic chips and wands to up the fun of counting pips on the dice. Print the page your children need practice (1-6 or 1-12). Laminate for multiple uses. Students can play in pairs or independently.
Decorate the tree with magnetic chips on top of the number students roll! Roll each number 2-12 once and enjoy the colorful decorated tree students make before using a magnetic wand to start all over! OR Students can roll 2 dice and then roll mini doh balls to cover each number they roll. Copy and laminate for many uses or copy for students to take home.
Have you read the book Not A Box with your class? Now it's time for your students to use their imagination and create their own version of what a box can be! This comes with 5 pages, each page has a box in a different position for them to use, with 1 having a blank box for students to place their own box in the page. At the bottom is a sentence starter for students to finish with their creation.
The younger years can be messy! Make sure your students are prepared with a set of extra clothes. You can use this to send home at the start of the year and then again if you only need 1-2 of the items resent in due to accidents.
