I have 25 years of experience teaching English and have created lessons for Advanced Placement and dual credit courses as well as writing and research at the community college level. I experience with every level of high school English, from remedial to honors and regular English courses. Awards & shining teacher moments

When I taught at the community college level, I received the Outstanding Commitment to Higher Education award twice. I was a founding board member for nonprofit education organization, and in college, I was a member of Sigma Tau Delta and on my college debate team.

My own education history

I have a bachelor's degree in Comprehensive English Education and have taken myriad courses in educational leadership, curriculum design, technology, and graphic design.

Additional biographical information

I love hiking in the mountains, spending time with my family, and reading fiction and nonfiction. I'm a news junkie who loves to teach newspaper layout and design to students.
