To make, first print the large empty oval on to brown paper. Print the lined oval onto white paper. Large circles are printed on brown, and the heart, small circles, and small ovals are printed on gray. Students cut out the different parts, then glue them together like the picture. This worksheet lets students draw a picture and write a few sentences about the difference between summer and fall. I go over the changes that occur to the trees, to animals, and to us when the weather changes (for us I use the different types of clothes we wear). Then students pick which one they want to write about, draw a picture of the before and after, and write a sentence describing the picture.
This is a fun project to display student writing. We're doing narrative stories about the adventures of a snowman who comes to life, which we'll then copy onto our snowman paper.
Bumblebee writing paper. To assemble, print all parts on yellow paper. Have students cut out body and head. Students can then use pipe cleans for antenna and stinger, make wings, and add google eyes. I had students write a persuasive writing on why they would be the perfect valentine.
We do a project every year where the kids get to build a scarecrow then do a writing project about how they built it. Here's the paper we're using this year. The border was provided by http://graphicssoft.about.com
Simple earth day writing paper. We're using it to write an expository paragraph on how we are going to save the earth, combined with an art project of the earth. Contains the front sheet, extra paper for those who need more room, and a graphic organizer.
Print flower petals on pink paper (or any light color) I had kids write 5 sentences about what their mother's are like (My mother is a great cook, she is the best mom ever, etc) Then students wrote the sentences on five flower petals and glued them down on big construction paper. Then add the center of the flower and the stem. Perfect gift for mom!
