About the store

Experience

With 26 years of experience as a Mental Health Specialist within the Head Start program, I bring a deep understanding of the unique social, emotional, and behavioral needs of young children and their families. This offering is born from my long-standing commitment to fostering positive mental health and well-being within our community.

Teaching style

As a Mental Health Specialist, I've witnessed firsthand the power of social stories in supporting young children with behavioral challenges. Frustrated by the lack of tailored resources, I began creating my own social stories to provide effective education for preschoolers and their teachers. This collection is born from that experience and my dedication to fostering positive social-emotional development.

Awards & shining teacher moments

My work with social stories for preschoolers with behavioral challenges has been recognized at both state and national levels through my presentations on this topic.

My own education history

My educational background includes a Bachelor's in Elementary Education, a Master's in Early Childhood Education, and a Master's in School and Professional Counseling.

Additional biographical information

Outside of my professional life, I enjoy traveling, spending quality time with my grandson, and tending to my garden. My new puppy keeps me active, and I find inspiration in long walks and the vibrant atmosphere of farmer's markets. Anything outdoors truly inspires me.
