Experience

This is my 24th year in education. I have spent the majority of that time working with struggling readers. I have a passion for intervention and literacy. I love data, assessments, and teaching students to read. In 2019, we made the switch to structured literacy based on the science of reading. This has been a game-changer for our students and teachers.

Teaching style

Multi-sensory, arts integration, structured literacy, and direct instruction! I do what works for the student. If students aren't learning the way I teach, then I need to teach the way they learn.
