About the store
I am currently a behavior specialist for a small public but separate special education program that serves middle and high school students with moderate to severe disabilities. Previously, I taught special education in self-contained classrooms for 9 years at 3 different schools. I have experience teaching in both public and private schools, as well as both adapted and general curriculum. I have taught students in grades 5-12 with various disabilities including those with significant behavior challenges.

Experience

I am currently a behavior specialist for a small public but separate special education program that serves middle and high school students with moderate to severe disabilities. Previously, I taught special education in self-contained classrooms for 9 years at 3 different schools. I have experience teaching in both public and private schools, as well as both adapted and general curriculum. I have taught students in grades 5-12 with various disabilities including those with significant behavior challenges.

Teaching style

Both as a classroom teacher and behavior specialist supporting classrooms, I value building strong positive relationships with students, families and paraprofessionals. I believe that this is the key to having a successful school year and have been lucky enough to work with some amazing assistants, related service providers and students.
