Do you use the game Cariboo with the students in your class?
Sometimes you have an idea and you want to make your own cards but don’t have the time to measure out the size for the cards for the board or the “calling cards.”
Well here you go, I’ve made a blank template for both sets of cards for you to use with your game!
More than half the battle is done for you, now all you need to do is insert the content/pictures into each box!
Directions:
These cards are a template you can use to create your own sensory cards for your students who are on a sensory diet. The captions are completely editable and I have included some blank cards for you to add your own activities.
When I made the cards for my students I photographed each student doing their sensory activity, so their cards were personalized and they could pick the activity they wanted---the hope being the picture would remind them how that sensory activity made them
This can be used on a smart board or you can print out as worksheets.
I used this with my life skills class on the smart board but also handed out as worksheets for them to follow along with & do at their seats. I use this in my special education class for calming/sensory breaks. The “activity” can be edited to fit what you offer your students. The sandwich is kept in a zip-lock bag on the student’s desk to be used as needed.
This is a letter used in my class for the kids to fill out with what they did during the day. The boxes are there because my students need help with their writing.
