Pronoun-Antecedent Worksheet with Answer Key. This worksheet is a quick assessment of pronoun-antecedent agreement using the text "from A Night to Remember" out of the HMH Collections Grade 6 Unit 3: Dealing with Disasters.
This document works great for those who teach the 6th Grade Collections series or if you teach a Titanic Unit. Scope Scholastic Magazine also has a great article called "Exploring the Titanic" which would go along great with this resource.
This product is a Venn Diagram used to compare and contrast the book by Gary Paulsen, Hatchet, and the movie A Cry in the Wild. Students have plenty of room to list a few differences in the book and a few differences in the movie. Students will also be able to include a few of the many similarities between the two. However, I also feel that it is important that the space is limited too. It is easy for students to get "lost" in writing down the many comparisons.
This worksheet requires students to be able to recognize the difference between subject, object, possessive, and intensive pronouns. Students will color each space a different color according to the pronoun in the space.
This document is a reading challenge we issued for our middle school. This particular challenge was for Dr. Seuss' birthday and Read Across America week. Students had to read on or above their Lexiles and take a Reading Counts test and pass it. At the end of the week, we pulled a report to show which students, for each grade, had read the most words. Click on this link to get your own editable version.
This worksheet goes along with the HMH Collections Grade 6 Unit 3: Dealing with Disasters – “from A Night to Remember”. This worksheet comes with a second, slightly modified version and an answer key. It follows many state standards also, particularly Georgia's 6th grade standards.
