About the store
Hi there! I am Amy James-Chaney, an educator with 23 years of experience in Early Childhood, with 8 of those years teaching Special Education. While I do create worksheets, my passion lies in creating hands on and engaging activities where my students can learn through play.
Throughout my career, I've taught PK3, PK4, Kindergarten, and now 1st grade, and I've always enjoyed designing materials that are both effective and engaging. Whether it's a hands-on math or reading center, or a station that encourages movement, I believe learning should be meaningful and fun.
I started my TpT store to share the resources I use in my own classroom—materials that have helped my students grow and shine. Many of my activities are inspired by the ones my students ask for over and over again because they enjoy them so much. I was lucky enough to loop up to 1st grade with my class, so and they have continued to inspire even more new creations meant for 1st grade, which I will slowly get added to my store. I try to include clear, detailed descriptions to make each resource easy to use—whether you're a brand-new teacher, a seasoned pro, or somewhere in between.

Teaching style
I believe there are times when worksheets are beneficial and necessary, but I really prefer hands on activities that promote movement and encourage meaningful conversation with partners/small groups. I also love to empower parents by sending home resources they can use to help their child grow and progress outside of school.
My own education history
I have a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education. I am certified to teach PK-8th grade, and am also ESL and Special Education certified.
