I have worked with children from birth all the way to high school and even taught teachers. I have taught children as ELL and Special Education backgrounds.
When doing assessments why not use these fun recording sheets? I have included 12 different choices to use throughout the entire year. Children write a letter of the alphabet in each graphic. Included are:
*frogs
*apples
*leaves
*hands
*snowflakes
*penguins
*hearts
*peeps
*stars
*monkeys
*owls
*pencils
Print out and laminate for longevity. Children sort the frogs by colors. You could lay the frogs and lily pads flat on the floor or display on a pocket chart and have children place the correct frogs with the correct lily pads. For increasing difficulty, turn the frogs over so you can access their visual discrimination skills.
