Experience

Teaching style

My classroom ran on calm structure, predictable routines, and genuine care. I believe in teaching the whole child—balancing academics with emotional awareness, reflection, and empathy. Every resource I create is designed to support that balance.

Awards & shining teacher moments

The moments that mattered most weren’t awards—they were the breakthroughs: a student learning to self-regulate, a class resolving a conflict together, or a quiet child finding their voice. Those memories are what continue to shape the work I share here.

My own education history

Degree in Education from Kansas State University, with ongoing learning through workshops in behavior support, trauma-informed teaching, and social–emotional learning, including Classroom 180, Conscious Discipline, and Inspired Leadership.

Additional biographical information

Retirement has given me time to focus on creativity, community, and reflection. I still love designing resources that help teachers create calm, connected classrooms where students feel seen and supported.
